New Detectorist

Whites Classic 111…

I do like helping people who are new to this wonderful hobby, & although not a total novice Andy was as a fairly new detectorist, Andy had bought a Whites Classic 111, not a new machine by any stretch of the imagination, at a guess it is at least fifteen years old, but a very clean and well looked after Metal Detector, and for fifty pounds it is the best fifty pounds anyone could have spent…

Andy had only the basic knowledge to set up the machine, whilst not really knowing the capability’s when set right, so when we set the machine up to an optimum setting, we air tested a gold ring at nine inches with a pound coin coming in at slightly deeper, but an air test is all perspective, as a rule of thumb if you half the depth your onto a winner…

All in all a very nice detector, and far better to have spent your money on a second hand detector, than double or treble the money on a new starter machine with a disappointing performance, this detector will not disappoint anyone, in the way it performs…
