Photograph…

i think this photograph sums up what we are all about, a cool misty morning, and they are out digging… an actual photo from wayne on the northern relic hunters forum website…

So a huge thank you to Wayne Kitching – from North Yorkshire, for a stunning photo that he took on Sunday 18th November 2018, it captures a moment in time, when just as the rising sun was trying to burn off the early morning mist, a group of metal detectorists were detecting eastwards down the field, each one marking their route as they went forward with the appearance of a darker colour creating a different pattern in the crop,  as the mist was shook off the crops by the coil, or as a digging tool was towed behind ready to be called into action, it was this, that was making each detectorist appear to cast long shadows on the ground, as they went about their task…Wayne has kindly given written permission for me to use this photo, so I have popped it on the header for all to see, it is a typical scene of an early morning metal detecting dig, but one that has captured the essence of being with friends yet doing it your way…thank you Wayne…
