Cottingley Fairys…

When your country is in the midst of war, and being a child at home, without to much parental control, & hope of peace is always a fingertips distance away, growing up in an era when most still believed in fairies, & fairies are renowned to live in woods but considered a fabled myth, as very few people who have come forward to say they had seen fairies, produced very little or no evidence to prove their existence…mko

So when your rich enough to have access to a camera, plenty of time on your hands & with a little knowledge, it was time to pull off, one of the most endearing hoaxes of the 20th century, for the girls performing this stunt, the furthest thing from there mind is the impact, that this would have on a world starved of hope and good news, the story of the fairie photographs slowly went from strength to strength, with famous people like the author  Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of Sherlock Holmes, and The novelist Henry de Vere Stacpool were convinced that the photos were real, & helped spread the news, whilst many people thought they were fake, whereas most were still  rather skeptical, so who really orchestrated this, who was behind all of the publicity, someone was, but whoever it was, the hoax lasted for nearly a hundred years… so if you have deep pockets, and want a pieace of historical fake news, these photos are coming up for auction…

That is if indeed it was fake or a hoax…
