So many things change in life, but coinage is one of the most stabilised things we can rely on, no one person seems happy unless they have more than they need, look at the ruling elite, the so-called A-Listers, any one who has come into a lot of money, they all have one thing in common, the coinage they have in their pocket is the same as you, how do you know that ten pence in your pocket was not spent by a famous person… What am i getting at, well the longest-serving coin we have today is the penny, not even the eurocrats could take away our coinage, as we opted out of the euro, thank goodness, our coinage is unique and always has been, alright we have had a few changes but old Queen Victoria set us on the path of decimalisation way back in the 1830’s by changing the coinage into the base of ten, so the florin became the equivalent of our modern-day ten pence, five pence one shilling etc, ok the values are no where near right, but you get the idea… I am perplexed as to why the hunt for gold & silver is uppermost in peoples heads, when a vicki penny could be worth hundreds…. well it is worth looking anyway… https://www.allcoinvalues.com/united-kingdom/queen-victoria-era-uk…
