Nicks Victorian Worms, with some dodgy wind noise effects thrown in for free, but you can get the gist of it;

just exprementing with varuious bits, more on the red bus later…

Whilst driving past a lovely old woodland today as i have done so many times in the past to reach one of my sites, i was devastated to see the destruction of the trees, as so many had been cut down, i had noticed over the last couple of years a slow thinning out of the trees, but today, however, i have witnessed its biggest destruction so far, by the parasites that are known to all “as humans”
Why so many trees have been felled, & all that’s left of the area is the fresh-cut stumps; why is a total mystery, to me as “why were they killed ?” as there is little or no cover for the wildlife left, whilst the bird’s song has all but disappeared… man and his destruction is beyond comprehension, as to why does he has to be so destructive…

Heaps of topsoil, as far as the eye can see, another piece of green-belt being taken over for more houses, me and Nick went to have a look, before the contractors moved in, a few nice bits were found, but when the permission was granted we were told the fields had been done to death over a period of thirty-odd years, so don’t expect much, that was true, although I did find a cut half, and not a lot else, but don’t those gun caps get deep though…

above is another strange find when out metal detecting… an abandoned vehicle after the illicit poachers ran out of petrol, and just left the vehicle where it was, it was not here yesterday, obviously a bunch of do-as-you-like’ies

Above is another piece of Aircraft Aluminium being dug up near a WW11 Airfield…
not a crash site, just bits that fall off of the planes when they came into land, quite a few have bullet holes or shrapnel marks…

above shows the first time for 3 years, this field has become soft enough to dig with a spade, this is a purpose-built spade (JR Stainless Steel spade) being fully useable to dig very deep targets when you have the benefit of making some deep finds with the T2se, this harness buckle was over well over twelve inches deep, and slightly to one side of the pinpoint …
the settings of the T2se was manual ground balance; – 79 – sensitivity; – 7 – discrimination; – & 2+,; listening to the iron chatter with the very deep signals coming through as a positive but somewhat broken signal, until the top is taken off, then it becomes a positive two-way signal…
because the signals are deep, when you pinpoint, it might give a slight off center reading, which is why I think some of the pinpointing is slightly off…

just to show the flurry of snow, before we headed across the field towards the woods, where there is a field we are going to detect on, the field is just to right of the woods, and a long way from the track, which itself is over a mile from a country lane, ah the blissful peace and quiet…
